Protest against imprisonment of striking workers in China and attacks on democratic rights in Hong Kong

By Dimeji Macaulay

Members of the Democratic Socialist Movement (DSM) visited the Chinese Embassy in Abuja on Tuesday to submit a protest letter to the Chinese government demanding an end to oppression in Hong Kong and also end to oppression of Jasic technology workers in Schenzen, southern China. We called for immediate release of Shen Mengyu, the Jasic workers' leader, who has been incarcerated since August 10. The letter was received by a staff of the embassy.
